Iceland: 10 artists Revealed for Söngvakeppnin 2020

Prior to the official announcement, the 10 songs competing at this year’s edition of Söngvakeppnin have been published on Spotify. The album features the 10 songs in Icelandic and  6 of the competing entries in English, as well as karaoke versions.

In the semi-finals, the artists will perform their entries in Icelandic language, while in the final, the qualifiers will be able to perform the song in the language they intend to use at Eurovision if they were to win the competition. The two semi-finals of the selection will take place on February 8th and 15th where two songs will qualify from each semi-final. The broadcaster also has the right to choose one of the non-qualifying entries as a wildcard for the final, meaning the final will likely feature five artists.
